What are common causes of teenage road crashes/injury/death?
- Inexperience – often teenagers don't realise how much practice it takes to develop good driving skills.
- Risk-taking – teenagers can be over-confident about their ability and under-estimate the dangers.
- No seatbelt – far too common amongst teenagers.
- Fatigue – teenagers are often busy and have poor sleeping habits.
- Passengers – they can distract the driver or encourage risks.
- Alcohol or drugs.
