Try the Blending Families fun day. There will be activities for parents and children including a treasure hunt, children's portraits, family tree art, family goal setting, cultural food tasting, how to create magic step family relationships, Fire Wise House bouncy castle, spot prizes and much more.

Manukau Family Literacy Programme	Manukau Mall	15th May between 10am – 2pm	They will be organising simple play ideas to share with the public that will demonstrate how easy it can be to learn alongside your children.
6th Auckland Migrant Expo and Job Fair	Alexandra Park Function Centre Greenlane West Epsom Auckland	15th May between 10am - 4pm	The Auckland Migrant Expo and Job Fair is holding a 'Family Affair' (featuring health, education, motherhood and slots for children and parents) to coincide with Family Day
From one family to another	Carter Court Rest Home 95-97 Pembroke Street Carterton		Carter Court Rest home residents are sending a Families Day special wish to their own families with hand made cards showing their Carter Court family
Pied Piper Parade	HB Williams Memorial Library Peel Street Gisborne	May 15th	HB Williams Memorial Library is holding a Pied Piper Parade and anticipate 300 – 500 children participating from numerous schools. The parade will conclude with a storytelling event. Families are encouraged to join in the parade.
Wheels Day for Starship Hospital	Green Bay School Green Bay Waitakere	May 15th
Picnic Lunch	Westport North School Cobden Street Westport	May 15th - 12pm until classes resume	Westport North School is celebrating Families's Day by holding a picnic lunch for parents to share with their children
Open day	Otaua School RD 2 Waiuku	May 15th	Otaua School is holding an open day with activities for children including weaving, origami, Tae Kwon Do instruction, drama, puppet making and making silhouettes. The school is also planning a shared lunch to which parents, siblings, grandparents are invited.
Family Noticeboard	Standards New Zealand	Monday 12 - Friday 16 May	Standards New Zealand is inviting staff to post on a noticeboard photos, paintings, pictures and poems of their families. On the Friday anyone who has posted something will go in the draw to win a family prize pack. They are also promoting their work-life balance initiatives to staff.
